About CS2 Case Simulator
Last reviewed: September 30, 2026
cs2cases.cc is a free Counter-Strike 2 case opening simulator. You can open any weapon case, souvenir package or sticker capsule as many times as you like, with the real drop rates and current Steam Market prices, without spending anything.
Why this site exists
Opening CS2 cases costs real money, and the odds are hard to feel from a percentage alone. A knife at 1 in 385 sounds possible until you watch a few hundred openings go by. The simulator lets you see the real distribution play out, and every case page puts a number on it: what one opening costs, what it returns on average, and how rare the best items are. The best cases ranking compares every weapon case on that basis. For almost every case the expected return is well below the cost, and we say so plainly.
Who builds it
The site is designed, written and maintained by an independent developer, known on GitHub as @Siin0pe. It is a personal project, not a company, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike 2, item names and item images belong to Valve.
The code runs on Next.js and is hosted on Vercel. Case contents and prices are refreshed automatically, and every change runs through automated tests before it goes live. Work on the project started in March 2026; today it covers weapon cases, souvenir packages, sticker capsules and the other containers sold on the Steam Community Market, each with its own page.
What we do not do
- No real money: the wallet on this site is simulated and cannot be topped up or withdrawn.
- No gambling, no skin deposits, no trading, no Steam login.
- No account: your simulated inventory and history stay in your browser.
- No invented numbers: odds, prices and statistics come from the sources listed on the Sources page, and estimates are labelled as estimates.
How the numbers are made
The Methodology page explains the drop rates, the float and StatTrak rules, the expected value formula and its limits. The statistics page compares what the simulator actually produced with the theoretical odds, using confidence intervals and minimum sample sizes so that small samples are not over-interpreted. Every change to the site is listed in the changelog.
